I rebuilt a 66 GT coupe for a guy almost 25 years ago,engine,paint,brakes etc.and mentioned to the guy I would like to buy the car if he ever sold it.Today his son called and asked me to come and see it and make him an offer,out of nowhere.Myproblem is I have one garage space for an old car and it is already filled with my o4 GT convertible.Ihave bounced this around all day and honestly can't decide.This is really a one family owned GT,225hp,4speed,nice but neglected car,but I really love the one I have.Before you ask,the guy said he would only sell to me and then only if he could get the first chance to buy it back if I sold it in the future.Wants me to go through everything again for him I guess.I'm getting old and had no thoughts of another project,but I would still really like to have this car.BTW he also said he didn't have to have what it was worth as long as he always got first choice to repurchase.Good problem to have,right?

i mean if you really love the car, and you can get a decent deal i dont see why not. but i mean, if you can afford the 04 and 66 i'd do both...2 mustangs are better than 1. and it wont hurt the 04 to set outside its pretty new. the 66 is old and deserves to rest

Well if it were me I'd pass on the 66 unless it was a fastback.

For you though, it's a different story because you have had a past with the car.

I agree with boduke. Park the 04 outside and put the 66 inside if you really want it bad enough.
