Is it required to have an upgraded torque converter and gears to install cams???

some cams yes other cams no....if the description says so then yes...just call and check with the place your ordering from

Its not really a "requirement", but more of a suggestion because of how/when the cams make power...I think you need to research which cams would be best for you, and since you are auto I would suggest doin a high stall/shift kit and 4.10s anyway
