I think it mite be the 03 it was a head problem I think. The valves on the driverside where hiting the pistons I think but I could be wrong. I do not know that mutch about he cobra motor. I just started to loarn about the motor 2 months a go.

So you think I need two fuel pump? How dose that work anyway dose one pump feed one side of the motor and the other feeds the other side.

Thanks

In the fall I am getting 04 cobra crate motor from ford. I am going to put on LH header, TB, CAI high flow cats with X pipes and I am keeping my MSD Dis (4) ignition and my aermotive fuel rails and I am getting the Whipple s/c 15psi. With all that will I hit 600rwd hp?
The other thing is should I port the heads and get cams and valve spring and should I chang the rods? I what to do it right the first time. I rather spened more money in the fall then 2 years from now. Can I rev the motor and s/c up to 7000rpm? Will I need a new rear end?

Thanks, Mike

I am going to try to sell it all togetter as a package. I am going to sell the motor, headers, flow-cats with X pipe, clutch, flywheel, s/c, 42 injecters, intercooler, tb, CAI, maf, comper, wire harnes, chip, I think thats it. The only thing I'm not sell is the fuel pump, duel ignition system and the aeromotive fuel rails.

haha, i was wondering the same thing bout the saleen motor, unfortunately, I am gonna have no use for it once my engine is built. Unless that's the series VI s/c.

Umm, i didnt think head porting was that expensive, but maybe i'm wrong. Cams aren't necessary, but if you want every bit of hp, then get 'em. But like I said, you don't NEED to have them put on.

Good luck!

Because 425rwhp is not enough power. I can beat stock or moded cobra. I just need to beat everybody on the road Last week I allmost lost a race to a moded out wrx, it was a close race. His car started to lose groud at 130mph but that is normal for them. I need to beat a Z06 vette. I need to spend my money on something or what im I work 52 hour week for and the my mustang is my thrilll for the day driving back and forth form work and home. You can see that I am a loser and do not have a life but my 2 cars make me happy

No it is not the VI s/c it was not out when I buit the s/c 3 years ago. I have not looked into how mutch it will be to port the heads but I read some where on the forum $1500, I think it was for a gt motor. The guy that is doing the work said I rely do not have to port the heads or do cam because I do not go to the tracks and race. He said if that is the case he will build me a motor from the bottom up.
