Default 97gt TB on 99gt??

i wanna try puttin back on a stock tb bc my car is runnning to rich and i dont have enough money to get a tune. but my friend has a 97 tb he will give me so will it work

Not sure if it would work, but by putting a more restrictive TB on would allow less air in the cylinder. Less air and more fuel, making it run even richer.

ya i guess thats true i dont no y i didnt think about it i guess i was gettin to excited on trying to fix my car. i dont no what to do now. the mechanic told me its running rich i dont have new injectors or anything like that so back to the shop

but with a larger tb and stock MAS could that throw off the air fuel ration?

I thought you could adjust a/f ratio with the Diablo? Or do you just not want to do it because you are afraid you will go too lean if you are not on a dyno to tell?

thats true u can adjust it with a diablo tuner but i have a diablo chip and the chip has to be re tuned. which sucks i bought the car with a chip if i had my choice i would have bought the tuner. but well see

leave the tb, changing it wont solve your problem. that diablo chip is the problem. again, i dont know why people buy this crap. the guy before you had a mail order tune. the only thing you can do is retune it. and if your going to do that, switch to a SCT. the best on the market.

why would you want anything less on your car, when it comes to something so vital as your engine and computer tune?
