Miss in engine, Tranny problems
Im not 100% sure but i think i have a miss. there is a slight sputtering sound coming from the passenger side. its very slight but its noticeable. I was told to pull my spark plugs and check those. they all looked fine. This is a brand new engine has about 12000 miles on it. Now as far as the tranny problem i beleive its my throwout bearing but im not sure. While im just driving it doesnt make a sound but when i push in clutch it makes a horrible sound almost a screeching and crackling sound. But when in gear and driving its fine it doesnt make the sound, only when the clutch is engaged. I had an aftermarket clutch put in when i had the engine put in but i didnt get an adjuster for it. and i was told thats why im having a problem so soon with it. Thanks for the help

I have the same issue with the clutch on mine, it is definitely your throwout bearing. It is a very minor issue, I wouldn't bother too much unless you have the extra time to pull it all out. I'm about 90% sure you can replace the throwout without replacing everything else, it's just getting to the actual bearing is going to be a pretty big hassle and honestly not worth the time.
I was told a few times by different dealership mechanics(yay..) that it isn't worth replacing until you are in need of a new clutch. If the noise is extremely loud or it gets progressively worse over the next few months I would definitely think about replacing it.
My Throwout bearing has been having issues for almost two years now, but I never really put a lot of pressure on my clutch and it's never really gotten to the point where I have to replace it. In about 6 months I'll need to replace my clutch anyway.
