just read a post where someone was talking about powerbalancing at the dealer, what exactly is this?

ITS A TEST PERFORMED ON THE FORD SCAN TOOL THAT SHOWS CYLINDER MISFIRING

lol seriously tho, the Ford IDS/PDS has it, and I think some of the Snap-On MODUS and SOLUS tools have a similar feature. It is basically a grid with a line going across, and/if a cylinder is misfiring, you will see a spike or drop off on the graph, and it tells you which cylinder is acting up.

Its extremely useful in determining misfires and driveability issues... So is the cylinder contribution tests.

oh, ok thats basically a scope showing misfire counts on a given cylinder. i work for honda, we have HDS-honda-diagnostic-system. probly the same as your star system
