Default Nitrous?

What's the deal with it? Everyone i talk to says bad stuff about it. Like after the second time i spray it ill be rebuildin the block and they say it'll mess up your engine and cause a s##t load of problems. Whats y'alls opinion on it? and would i need a dyno tune with this kit? and can i use a switch to activate it so it wont spray everytime i WOT it?

There are plenty of people that use Nitrous for years and have no problems. It's all in the tune. Just make sure you get it tuned for nitrous. A good way to do it is to get a chip where you can have 2 tunes on it (flip chip or handheld like sct). One tune can have the nitrous tune, and one can be a cruising tune. Go to the Pipes, boost and juice section. There is a lot of info in there and you will probably get more answers to your questions.

Opinions are like _______ everybody's got one. But the fact is that N20 is not a "chemical supercharger" and effects that other FI methods do not. That said, n20 can be a good way to add power, it can be used relatively safely. However to make a long story short... I am pro nitrous.... but not on my daily driver's stock block.

+1 It is a good way to add effective and safe power, when used correctly. I am with several others, however, that it would not be going on my DD. IMO it belongs on a track car, or one that would be seeing the track a lot.

That is the same kit that I have used for 2 years - no tune, but I only run the 75shot. You will also want a window switch, GRM Pick-up (gives Tach signal for the window switch), and a fuel pressure safety switch. I go through about a bottle a month - $42 each refill - and it sucks to have an empty bottle.

I like the N20, but would prefer a supercharger.

1. Everyone you talk to favorite movie im sure is the fast and the furious.
2. I have had my nitrous for 7 months, ive sprayed more than twice and on stock long block
3. I like nitrous OVER a supercharger
4. You do not need a dyno tune if its 100 shot or less. People have done 125, but at that power get it tuned.
5. Yes its called a WOT switch
6. If its manual people get a window switch, its safer.

You do not have to have your timing pulled UNLESS you are OVER 100 shot. Its 2 degrees pulled for every 50 over 100 shot. You stock computer will compensate the Nitrous. Run 93 it prevents detonation.
