8.8 rear in a mustang 1997 v6 please help

Exclamation 8.8 rear in a mustang 1997 v6 please help

i want to put a 8.8 rear in my 1997 v6 mustang does it matter what year i get to put in and if so whcih years will work in it ?

I'd try to find a 94-98 rear, because the 99-04s are a bit wider. Both will work just fine..

can i got with anything older then a 94-98 or is it best to just stay inbetween those years

You could, but it is wider, and I'm not sure if the brake lines on your car will stretch out that little bit. Im not 100% sure on that though, I'll let someone correct me

The older 8.8s are narrower than the 94-98 8.8s and the 99-04 rearends are wider than the 94-98s, you can use any of them if you offset your wheel spacing, just keep that in mind.
