Default how do you brighten or dim headlights?

I got a 96 mustang gt and I have a problem with the headlights. I know how to point the lights up and down but, I don't have a clue on how to brighten them up. If anyone out there can help me out I would appreciate it.

What do you mean brighten them? As in more light output? Other than changing the bulbs to a whiter light or a higher wattage bulb (NOT recommended) or HID's, you can't.

Yes, wrong section. This is the S197 (2005+) 4.6L sub-forum.

I replaced them but they look weak. That Sylvania commercial that says, "Now you see me, now you don't". That's bull sh**. I still can't see anything. Sylvania silver star ultra night vision bulbs are weak or my mustang headlight covers suck.

HIDs are amazing got my set from vvme.com for both my fogs/headlights for pretty cheap and they light up the road very well. I keep getting flashed at when I have my lows on and I just flash back at them with my highs.

+ a set of new clear headlights would help my stockers were all cloudy and messed up could hardly see

Mustang headlight suck period in stock form. I can believe it is legal to even sell a car like that. Most of the time I cant even tell my headlights are on.
