i just installed an american muscle cold air intake on my 99 gt. i started the car and everything sounds and looks fine so i drive it around and the first time i stop at a light i notice that im idling at about 500 rpm. is this normal? i never really payed attention to where i was idling before. it also sounds like its sputtering a little bit, pretty sure thats not normal. any ideas?

i idle at 600-700 rpms with the K&N cai. did you unplug the battery for 10-15 mins after the install not reving the engine, just letting it idle??

i didnt know i was supposed to do anything with the battery. u talking about the car battery? what do i do?

unplug it for about 20 mins to reset the computer and when you reconnect it the first start up the computer will relearn the air/fuel ratio and eveything should be back to normal just let it sit and idle for a couple mins then go for a drive
