Question lowering spring questions

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what could go wrong if i bought lowering springs not made for a convertable and put it in my convertable cobra. Also I only want to lower the front, I know it might sound crazy and I cant find anyone selling just front lowering springs. I found bbk front springs on ebay for 100 bucks but they arent for convertables.

some manufacturers have different springs for coupe/verts since the verts weigh more, so the same springs wouldnt have the same amount of drop on both cars. those bbk springs will still drop the nose of you snake though. why only dropping the front though? looks kinda weird but everyone has their own taste.

I wanna raise the rear and put some huge tires on there. Not too many people do it. I just want to stand out a little. If It doesnt look right I'll just lower it like everyone else. lol.

I also heard I could heat the spring up while they are on the car and they should weaken and drop as they warm up but im not sure thats what I want to do.

Just cut your front springs. Problem solved. No offense but your car is going to look wierd as hell. By huge tires do you mean like this old funny car mustang or are you going for the 4x4/lowrider look. lol

cutting the springs would be better than heating them. you could also leave the front the same and as you raise the rear the weight shift will lower your front end a bit too. maybe you could find some v6 stang front springs or old 4cyl fox springs that are softer. i also know that some people remove the front rubber spring spacer to drop about .5'' just stay away from heating the spings. also, how big of a rear tire did you want to put on your car?

I just want a wide *** back tire not drag slicks or super swampers or anything. but I realized the exhaust pipe is going to be in my way unless I get wheel spacers.

so you are looking to get like a 315/30/18. widest you can really go without having to get a custon set of rims that are 11-12 inches wide.($$$$$) and if you do go with the 315, it will look retarded if the rear is lifted IMO. it is not a thick tire. you will have a gigantic gap.
