yea you do not have to have boost all the time. plus you can shut it off. and turbos will be more than 5k, i do believe hellion turbo kit is 6k then include install labor and dyno time. anywhere from 7-10k and i dont think it is worth it.

I guess it really depends on what type of power you want, but usually you can find Vortechs for cheaper then Kenne Bells. So keep that in mind as well.

No not really. http://bgturbokits.com/store/
3500 dollars. If he were to get a supercharger he would still have to get a tune, fuel etc like he would have to for a supercharger.

I would go Vortech w/ 3:73 gears.. instant torque breaks stuff, and really i bet youd get better track times with the Vortech..much easier to get off the line. i'm also tired of these import guys telling me i cant pull till redline..i'll show them. Also, w/ vortech i can keep a lot of my intake mods. It'd be a shame to waste the money i spent on them.

But then again the KB sounds SIIIIICKKKSSZZZAR! but the whining of the vortech sounds pretty special too.. but then again the KB is un mistakable.

Both are excellent kits.. i say Vortech though.. but what do i know, i don't have either.. yet

thats cost before you do the suspension. Suspension is going to cost you $1000 easy to get it done right. I wouldnt put a turbo on the stock motor, but there have been people do it with good results. My setup has about $11k into it with me doing all the work.

you should get a dyno tune regardless. those chips are very basic tunes that can still have A/F ratio issues when you get on it. it would be a shame to lose all of that money just because you decided not to get it tuned.

too true, you've gotta be a complete fool not to get your car dyno tuned after going F/I. heck, you'll probably be alright with the a/f but not to mention all the power your missing out on..and the added peace of mind and reliability.

+1 I heard that a stock vortech tune is really conservative. You can't blame them they're making one tune for every car they don't want to blow someone's motor up and be liable.
