Default JLT CAI question

alright so i took the cold air intake from JLT off my 04 GT(it is no longer with us) and i was looking at it and it seems it may not work. any help or do i have to move the intake sensor to the intake by cutting a hole in one of the silicon couplings?

I don't really understand your question...You took off your JLT CAI from your 04 GT and looked at it and it seems like it doesn't work??

what about it looks like it wont work.......the IAT sensor?.....your 04 had it "built in" to the MAF sensor and didnt have the sensor in the intake tube .....a 99 actually has the sensor in the intake tube.......so drill a hole , install a rubber gromet , and put the sensor in the hole

either get an 04 gt maf and plug and solder the iat wires, or drill a hole in the tube for a rubber grommet and put the sensor in the grommet.

i do have the MAF from the 04. car was totaled. so i can use the 04 MAF just need to know what to move over to the connector. and yes i do know the IAT is part of the MAF in the 04 and not the 99 lol that was what i was talking about being the problem.
