I have been looking at the MAC longtube and catted h-pipe. Is this any good. Its a bit cheaper than BBK. or is BBK better than them?

Yes that is a very sexy setup... how much did you guys pay for your headers?

i paid 405 for the headers, 380 for the X pipe, and then 25 for the 02 extentions. i still need to get my stage 8 header bolts and new header gaskets for it though. im thinking my total bill for this whole set up should be roughly 900 dollars.
900 dollars?!?! Shiza there's no way I can spend that much. I'm 18 with a part time job... [:@] I've been debating whether to go with headers or almost finish up my boltons with underdrives and a plenum and tb combo. Decisions decisions...

im 16 with a part time job.

also... ive gotta have cats, thats why it cost that much for me... i see you have a offroad X pipe so i would say it would be about 700 for the headers and new X pipe for you. you could also look for a used X pipe and knock 50-100 bucks off that price. i hate having to have cats but i gotta have em. i was wondering if the different x-pipes with cats for lontubes will fit on all the longtubes or just the ones that they make.

ive been told that they are only made for their brand long tubes... like i wanted to go with a SLP X pipe for my BBK headers but they told me it wont fit. i wanted the ability to put cat's in and take them out.

i would say BBK is alot better and also the BBK LT's will last longer if they are ceramic coated (like mine). but to save costs and stuff, i havent heard anything wrong about the MAC LT's. never heard of leaks with them.

What about the SLP long tubes? Why are they twice as much as all the other brands? Are they any better than like BBK or MAC?

i have a MAC full exhaust. youll definetly feel the difference and a hear it as well. unless your state has emissons laws/state inspections id get a midpipe with out cats. its cheaper and you get more out of it. plus it beefs up your sound more. any long tube is good, ull like it alot

I'm getting BBK longtubes and a VRS catted X. I asked about the BBK catted X they make for their l/t's and was told that the construction on it sucks and it sounds like crap. But it could also be that the dealer makes more $ off the VRS pipe as oppossed to the BBK, but they don't strike me as the type.
