To get 300hp, generally requires every bolt on, and Stage 2 cams from either CMS or Hitech. It ends up being cheaper just to buy forced induction to get 300rwhp.

Once you do start modding you mustang. You may hit a point where your Mustang is faster than your Srt-4 but it may not feel as fast. Because of the way boost hits in a turbo car it can sometimes feel a lot faster than an equally fast N/A one.

I know a guy with an WRX and I know my car is faster than his but IMO his car feel a lot faster.

I don't know if you have had any experience with N/A cars which is the only reason I brought this up.

Just out of curiosity how what kind of 1/4 mile times did you pull with your SRT?

What does a 400hp SRT-4 run in the 1/4 mile? There's a guy here with a 330rwhp GT Automatic that's deep in the 11's, I think 11.60's, so don't get caught up in dyno numbers too much comparing to a turbo 4 banger. It's where the power is made that's important.

4vs respond better to mods.

shouldve gotten a cobra.

Buy a forged bottom end off MMR have that installed and then turbo your car. That will run you around 5-7K with fuel included in that price and thats good to 800 RWHP.

Then you need some transmission work, rear end work, 1000 in misc stuff, and install, and that might put you under 10K.
