Default cutting off the stock catback?

i want to put on my MAC catback but i need to get the stock one off first obviously. i know you have to cut it off, but where is the best place to make the cut? and can it be done with a hacksaw? i was going to borrow my buddy's sawzaw but he has to go out of his way to drop it off...if i can do it with a hack saw then i'll just do that

Cut it as close to the axle as you can. Y can cut it with a hacksaw but its gonna take a long time. A sawzaw is cheap you can pick one up for around $20.

That would be a giant pain in the *** since you would have to disconnect the brake lines and unbolt the abs (if you have it). Its much easier to cut it.

Cut it in front of the axles, takes about 5 minutes with a reciprocating saw

I just cut it with a hacksaw that I had laying in my garage. Took about 15-20 mins per pipe but I didn't have to spend any extra money on an additional saw. Just took turns going at it with my friends. I cut as close to the axle as possible because the reason why it just can't be simply removed is because it won't go over the rear axle.

Good point, boduke, about removing the rear wheels and rear suspension to pull off the exhaust if you do want to keep it in one piece.
