I've had my Mach 1 for over six years, and I've had the stock clutch, a SPEC stage 2, a SPEC stage 1, and now I have a SPEC stage 2+ with low pedal option. You're right, the Stage 1 is a POS! The stage 2 was much better, but was pretty stiff to operate, especially in traffic. The stage 2+ with low pedal option is absolutely fantastic!

i gotta agree with this guy...i got the same clutch and no problems.....maybe not the best clutch in the world for a DD but u wont have problems in the future and isnt bad...(the reason i said not the best clutch is cause it def grabs when u want it to and if ur lazy when u drive it will grab more than u expect but no complaints at all!!)...and it seems most of the posts are for SPEC so just pic a stage and ur good...but as they say the more the merrier lol

After searching around I found that the spec 1's TOB is a POS. It squeaks. Now i'm looking more into the Fidanza 2.1, Ram, or a stock terminator clutch. Supposedly the Cobra clutches are really good. Read the link below. That car is making 700+rwhp with a stock replacement.

I have a Spec Stage 1. Besides a very horrifying-feeling break in period, its served me well through the end of last summer.
And yes, my TOB squeaks a little. However, my clutch engages quite high up on the pedal (thats the way I learned how to drive on it soooo), and I usually just rest my foot on it so I never really hear it.
