Gear question, and greetings

RE: Gear question, and greetings
I have 3.90's and don't regret them, but 4.10 would have done the trick too. I am supercharging my car, so I'm not kicking myself over not getting the 4.10's, even though there are plenty of people that run 4.10's in a blown car. 4.10 is not going to have your engine screaming on the highway. And it really helps a normally aspirated Stang get up and go.
So to sum it up, go with either the 3.90's or the 4.10's. If the chances are slim to none of putting a blower in, go 4.10.

you should figure out what you want to do with your car before you get your gears so your not upping them or backing them down later down the road. I know 4.10 is highly reccomended because of 5th gear being so wide open. Im doing Kenne Bell supercharger and NO ONE even KENNE BELL will tell you 3.73 is the best gear set to use with there supercharger. so you gatta check into what you want to do with the car and talk to professionals as well as the people on the forums.

RE: Gear question, and greetings
i like my 3.73 gears in my stang... the other day, i pulled with my 3.73 gears in 4th gear up to about 128 mph before i had to shift to 5th. i shifted at 6200 rpm when i was going about 128... i wasnt paying much attention to the speedo.. more like the road and the tach. my 3.73's pull harder than stock though and i notice the different.. crusing rpm is 70 at 2150 rpm in 5th.
