Drag Suspension
Thinking about suspension setup that would be best for drag racing.
I've heard alot about LCAs and UCAs. Which ones are the best?? And are these something that me and my buddies can install in the driveway with borrowed air tools?
Also, about subframe connectors, they just weld on right? Are there and suspension bundle packs that I can buy that include all of the above mentioned?

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/ and http://www.steeda.com/ have kits. As to which is the best your going to get a lot of different answers based on what they use. Mega Bite Junior's are an excellant LCA. UPR also makes great stuff. The control arms you should be able to handle in a driveway. The subframe connectors. You better have a shop do them if you want them right, and I dont suggest just having joe down at the exhaust shop doing them either. They have to be welded in the right spots, and the shops around here do a lot of prep work and also paint them afterward. Basically for a drag suspension, your best bet would be something along these lines...
Uppers
Lowers
Springs
Shocks
Struts
Subframe Connectors

I had UPR control arms on my Cobra, and they were great quality, but the uppers were like 1/2 inch shorter than the stockers, and it wrecked my pinion angle. Maybe I was sent the wrong set, but when I compared them to the length of my buddy's UPRs they were different. Despite my problems, I'd still recommend the UPRs

Cheap stuff = cheap mild steel = cheap price
Steeda = Chrome moly alloy steel = 2x stronger than any mild steel product out there.
You can heat treat mild steel to make it stronger than chrome moly, but then it costs more than chrome moly. Here in our showroom we keep a copy of a competitors "cheap" arm next to one of ours for people to see. When you can actually see the difference side by side you realize you really are getting what you are paying for.
