Default Car slow after ECU reset

unplugged ground on batter to reset ECU and clear CEL from having no cats..which worked. Haven't driven the car much at all since, but I got on it awhile ago and while the car ran fine and didn't hesitate or miss..it just seemed really gutless and out of breath up top. Is this normal for awhile after an ECU reset?

There is some "relearn" involved, although I've never noticed a decrease in wide open performance, usually my idle and low throttle cruising is what's all jacked up after a reset.

The reset just clears the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) where "closed loop" things like idle air, and long term fuel, trims are stored. The shop manual says that long term fuel trims are referenced in open loop mode, however open loop is mostly table and function driven--clearing the KAM should not dramatically impact open loop operation.
