Default short throw shifter installation?

right now i have a pro 5.0 on my 96 gt but im selling it on here and buying a mgw shifter with mach1 shift ****.
what do i have to do besides unbolt the old shifter and bolt on the new one?

prob replace the gasket but idk. I know Americanmuscle has a how-to on their website

Pretty much that's it, put some gasket silicone on cotact area before install of MGW

i think new mgw shifters come with some rtv to make the gasket

+1 Seal it up before you bolt it down. I think the MGW comes with some dynamat material with it, someone correct me if I'm wrong there, but that your option whether you want to put that stuff in or not.

MGW does come with a small tube of RTV for sealing.
