honestly i dont think it was worth the money i spent... The only thing its good for is so i can load my dyno tune again if i ever need to do wrk and the battery is disconnected so the cpu resets but thats about it... i should've just got a chip burned...

Yeah I went the chip way and I like it way better than my friend's tuners. Gains are based on the octane of the tune. 93 octane provides around 20 HP while 87 only gives around 3-4 HP gain I believe

oh no, never thought of that til now, if i just got a custom tune, disconnecting the battery/ dead battery would reset a tune! only way to save it is to buy a hand held tuner and save it on there as a back up, is there another way. I was going to go to moon performance in Lake Placid after the install...

Check out the thread in 4.6 General on the Sniper. That's the route I'm going. Seems the Special Forces tuner is pretty user friendly...you can just do your own tune. There's guys there that can explain it much better, but basically you load the software on your PC and go through the screens answering certain questions regarding your car. It will create a fairly conservative base tune for you, you send it to the "tuner" itself, plug it into the OBD port and load the tune. You can fine tune it further from there by adjusting timing. They are selling it for $339 shipped.
