Default Should i step down an inch?

i am having a bitch of a time finding a chrome cobra R rim in 18x10 or 18x10.5 for my s281. should i step down to a 17 in the rear and keep the 18 in the front?

No. If you are stepping down in the back do it in the front as well.

it wont look right with bigger rims up front.. if you do have bigger rims on one of the front or back, it always looks alot better with bigger ones in the back... check out mustangtuning.com for the cobra R's in 18x10, they may have it.
