Will an auto tranny(2001 GT) hold a 2.1L kenne bell kit intercooled at 9psi without any trans coolers??? I have been hearing several ppl saying their trans has blown due to force induction less than 10psi.

what gears u runnin? generaly speaking yes its a good idea to run a cooler. especially if u plan on draggin it regularly. also a good converter is a must. as easy and cheap as it is to install a cooler and converter it'll be worth while.

You're 4r70w should be able to hold the power pretty well. However, a cooler and shift kit/tune to firm up shifts should be mandatory. My stock AODE began slipping after three months with my Vortech at 8psi.However, now I am running a stronger tranny w/the 4r70w internals and making 14lbs of boost. It's been working great. Also, the 4r70 is a work transmission. It can handle over 700lb-ft tq("70" stands for).
