*dont be suprised if you spend close or over 10g's with either the 4.6 or 5.4....*

almost positive:
+you will need a t-56 or 3650 trans (dont know what 05+ gt's come with)
+a ECU from a cobra
+diffrent motor mounts
+small changes in wiring possibly
+a new gauge cluster for the 8k+ rev limit (lol)

That's true. That's also scary that I wanted to do something like this about 6 months ago. Glad I saw the light.

If you guys only knew what you could do with a $10K SBF.

Haha, I've seen that light, just have fun playing with mod motors for some reason. Building a 408 stroker for a different car right now.

get it decked and go all out, as it says above NA is expensive, why be cheap about 2 or 3k when you could add like 50% more power

one company makes an "R" version of the block, Im trying to find it, but its basically a big bore 5.4 (to 6.0L). i saw a vid of guy who had that setup with 4v heads, custom intake (switched to twin carb) and it was running bottom 9's N/A... pretty nasty

I have s soft spot for mod motors myself. Hopefully always will. They just aren't very cost effective. Hopefully I'll get to build one myself someday.

and i believe the 5.4's are bored to there max, to go any bigger i think you need to have it sleeved....

o and yea it will prolly cost more then what you paid for your car to do either one.....
Bought it new. Just rolled over 80k miles the other day. Outside of the body kit, new coat of paint and suspension, I haven't put that much into this thing yet. Whats another 10k.

I've seen a full bolt on 99 cobra with heads and cams and a tune by JBA make 363rwhp.
What other right things would he need?
