People with aftermarket cams
I have just installed crower cams in my gt everything sounds normal
but the engine is shaking a little bit more than it used to. is this normal?
will this disappear with time? how many miles should I be babying my car?
and how do i know if everything is ok with my car?

RE: People with aftermarket cams
i think it would shake more with a rougher cam.. ive got another car that is cammed and it shakes more also because the cam isnt meant to idle very good (2200-5800 rpm cam). this could be what your cam is doing.

yeah the motor will shake more because its a hi-lift cam. rougher idle. Just like when your sitting at a light and you keep tapping the gas, the whole car would shake back and forth with the engine. thats all its doing in a way. your fine, i wouldnt worry about anything. if your that worried, take it to a performance shop and ask one of the guys there

I got my cams installed and the car tuned for right at a grand. This was with a new chip from the shop, the tune, and all costs to install the cams, and they bought the new cam gears (I bought everything else beforehand).

You mean at idle? This is pretty normal. My stickshift even shakes quite a bit when it is at low idle. Also, I see no reason to baby it around. I left the parking lot of the performance shop with it to the floor.

The diablo has no feedback to tell it if your car is set right or not. Either get a A/f or get on the dyno!

As small as those cams are, you probably won't notice much difference in sound.
