Default vortech fitment question

someone is selling a vortech SQ trim from their 99 cobra and i was wondering if that will work with my 99 gt. do i need a different bracket or what?

yes it will work, however you will need the 99gt mounting kit found here..

awesome that sounds good. ok so i have 100,000 miles i need to know whaats a safe psi to put her at and how much hp do u think ill get out of it? its a vortech so like 8 psi? i dont know much about superchargers

your in the same boat as i am in, i think im going to keep my rwhp in the 360-370 area, i have 102,xxx miles on mine lol

hell ya dude we'll be alright! ya im hopin for 400-425 CRANK hp. its gona be insane! im gettin a really good deal.

with an 8 psi pulley you guys should be seeing around 360 rwhp give or take a little. As long as your cars have been maintained well it shouldnt be a problem with the mileage. If anything does happen just go forged and push even more power

alright cool. ya after i scuff up money to buy the supercharger the next thing im doin is the 100,000 mile tune up with all the fluids and crap changed to make her run well and THEN i will do the supercharger. i want to run her safe but put out like 425 hp to the crank at least

k i went to check out the supercharger today and everything seems fine but his pipe that comes from his throttle body is shaped like the twin t/b for the cobras. i assume i also need to replace this with a gt one right? anything else i need to pick up?

k i just answered my own question by checking out the website dtkiklols..... what the %^&* are you telling me i need to spend another 1,600 just to get the friggin kit? wont everything else work cept the bracket and the pipe?????
