Your car with the mods listed is VERY capable of low 13's, but it'll likely be a mid to high 13 second car until you get more practice.

If you only went 14.9's stock, it'll take a few trips (and multiple passes) before you get it to it's potential.

It took me 5? trips I think to get my car to a 13.6,,,,,starting at a 14.5 with the EXACT same mods.

Practice > mods.

i think with the PI heads your c/r ratio will be too high for FI too, something to think about. ported npi heads flow just as well as ported PI heads, if not better. and it will keep your c/r ratio down for FI. although, i am not an expert on this.

This car is the slowest car i have had at the track, my 1999 firehawk was 12.8 with stickys and that was stock, with just a couple minor bolt ons, and my supercharged gt was a 12 sec car also, i just wanted some input, and as far as the pi heads go, thats the same thing the 99-04 mustang gts have so i cant see why it would hurt my 97, its easy bolt on hp, we will just see what happens!

His compression will be bumped up a bit...but he will also make a bit more power than a stock pi because of it.

He will be fine with boost, just will have to keep the boost down and get a good tune.

I think the car will be capable of mid/low 13s maybe...but it really depends on how good you drive it and what kind of 60 foots you cut.

Are you guys talking 'capable of' or what you think it'll 'actually run'.

If you're talking capability, it's easily a 13.3-13.5 car with those mods.

PI swapped GT's usually make a bit more than a stock 99-04, add in the gears, dr's, and intake mods, and he's gonna outrun my car easily.

Ive heard 6 psi is fine on a PI swap on NPI block, or thicker head gaskets to lower compression for more boost
