He will be fine with boost, just will have to keep the boost down and get a good tune.

I think the car will be capable of mid/low 13s maybe...but it really depends on how good you drive it and what kind of 60 foots you cut.
so you think 96-98 cars that do the PI swap are ok for a small ammount of boost? i had always heard that it was out of the question

If you're talking capability, it's easily a 13.3-13.5 car with those mods.

PI swapped GT's usually make a bit more than a stock 99-04, add in the gears, dr's, and intake mods, and he's gonna outrun my car easily.
He'll run a high 13/low 14. Capable of mid-13's (13.4-13.6 is what I consider a mid 13)

Not knocking you or anything, but that run you had at 13.6 is impressive, and would be hard to repeat. Not saying you can't do it, but you just had a hell of a run there man.
The gear will help him, but on stock suspension, it'll be harder to get a better launch. Obviously the dr's will help, but I still think he'll run what I stated above. I could be wrong, lord knows I'm not always right, this is just what I think.
Again, congrats on that 13.6 you ****!

and a pi swapped gt can run 8lbs safely, 10lbs is pushing it.

Yeah as far as boost the head ford tech at my old job, at the ford dealership, has a 1996 GT PI swap and running a vortec v2 on that car at 7.2lbs of boost, stock bottom end, he hasnt raced yet or had it dynoed, but just was talking to him last night about it, he says its fine, plus if i blow it, ill buy a 4.6L 4v motor anyways, but I will have to see what the car will run at the end of april when the track opens, if a mid 13 happened i would be very happy because i would be that much closer to my goal with the car, which is to hit 12s with a stock 2v bottom end, just bolt ons, but 13.8-14.0sec in the 1/4 would be good for now!

Thats what i think, but it all depends, track, me, car, temp of car and out side temp at the time, my best runs are at the all night drags we have, gets down around 70 degrees and no wind, the cars just hook, and run hard!

DOUBTER~ DOUBTER HERE!!!

There are multiple guys with the same mods, trapping higher and running better ET's.

I'm sure this guy would be one of them.

Yep, those mods are easily good for some mid 13s with not that much seat time. Hell when all my car had was 4.10s, 28" BFG DRs, O/R H pipe and the air silencer removed my friend jumped in it and ran a 8.7x(1/8th mile obv) like 2nd time ever driving my car. He's not a track rat either all his cars to that point were incredibly slow.

With those said mods and timing pulled back(for nitrous) I'd do a shakedown run(no spray), launch just to check out the track conditions, casually shift through the gears and run a 8.9. It's not very hard to break in the 13s lol.
