I need a drivers side valve cover, and i ordered one from ford and its the wrong one, i have 13 bolt holes, 7 on bottom, 6 on top, the one i recieved today has 6 on bottom 5 on top only totaling in 11, so im freaking lost and im out of $156. I need some help on this one guys. this is for my mustang gt btw, not my cobra.

So they sent you a Romeo valve cover for a Windsor head...

Return it and order the right one.

no they sent me the romeo valve cover, and they dont accept special order returns.

I have a pair of used ones you can get for $50 shipped.

Sucks about the return policy, but you could argue that they didnt specify the right one..oh well

They can take returns when they ordered the wrong one. Go ask for a manager.

If they got you the wrong part after you told them the right one, specail order or not, they need to take care of it.
Talk to the manager or go over his head if that dosn't work. I'd bitch up a storm on that one.

well they went off the vin # of the vehicle, so either at one point in time the motor was changed out. and i said mustang gt but its for my crown vic, i just didnt want people to try to argue with me about it, its a 2000 crown vic with the police package. but from the vin # im suposoto have a 4.6 romeo, because i have teh W which you would think stands for windsor but its the romeo, i just have no clue which car to lookup to get the right valve cover. i have 7 bolt holes on bottom, 6 on top.

The dealer should be able to pull a schematic for each of the different type of engines so you can compare and order the one you need.

yea there not willing to help so it doesnt matter right now, im just gonna let the car rot, only paid $1900 for it. ill just drop a new motor in it from a wrecked stang, be much less time consuming.
