Default 1996 Mustang GT intake manifold

I was changing out my coolant temp sensor because my fan runs constently and when I went to put the new one in there were no threads left! All the threads ripped out when I took the old sensor off! (Stupid plastic crap) It did have 93K miles on the original but what am I to do now? I was looking at Ford performance parts and they have one intake manifold but its still plastic for the most part. Anyone got a good idea on what intake manifold to buy? Not really sure what the whole gain of putting a performance improvement intake manifold will do eighter? HELP ME OUT! Im looking for an intake around $200-$400 with some modest performance gains and to get my car up and running again. Thanks

well.. i would go with the PI intake if i was you.. it will give you alittle more power and also will have that cracking problem fixed with it. something else i think you should do is, if you have the money, get the pi heads and cams.

i would also get the PI intake but you will need adapters to line up all the ports.

i had a 2001 intake manifold put on my stang, no adaptor plate was needed. good for maybe 10 more hp im told, but it was to get my car running again so i didnt really care. only thing was the water hose had to be mover out of the way. the pi intake new was about 200$ on mustangtunning
