that quote was pertaining to king george (or whoever was the king of britain during the revolution) regarding the poor treatment settlers received from british soldiers.

dont get me wrong...i dont like obama either. i just think that using that quote is a bit of a stretch.

statism is when a state imposes significant intervention in economic and personal matters. so youre essentially saying that obama will turn america communist? i dont think so.....

i know who the quote was/is directed too. obama want to create a civil defense force as well armed as the military etc. sure sounds like a huge expansion of the role of the federal govt. why do we need that in the 1st place? we have the second amendment, but obama is against it as well as his new AG eric holder.
