Default accufab 70mm tb

I'm looking at the one on american muscle and was just wondering I notice that everyone that buys these tb's has a cold air intake. Is it necessary to have one to get a proper fit? The reason i ask is because i sold my cai and bought a custom ram air and it utilizes the stock rubber intake hose. Probably a dumb question but just want to ensure it will fit before i go spend the money

thanks fellas

you would think that, but prepair for battle when you put that hose on. It is a SOB. My advice to you OP: Put the bottom of the hose on the tb and put 2 screwdrivers(on on the right and left side) and try to slip the top on. There is always going to be 1 side that wont go on so you need to screwdrivers to pry it on basically.

I just got a "new in the box" BBK 70mm tb for 165 off ebay... if you're looking for a deal give ebay a look but if you don't feel like spending time looking for one just go to AM

You could go with a 75mm part instead of the 70mm.there's no penalty and you gain a few more HP over the smaller TB.

A little dish soap can lube the intake hose to make the install a lot easier.

not to start a debate, but the 75mm may give u a few more PEAK hp ponies.. Im confident the manufacturers did there homework when recommending the 70mm to a bolt-on or n/a application GT. Intake air velocity is more important than 2hp at an unusable power range.. just my opinion of course.

And i didnt want to use dish soap or anything like that because I didnt want to suck the extra up in the motor when I stated the car.. call me paranoid but that scares me lol.

I agree the 75 is too big for bolt-on or n/a
