Default help me please dead battery

So my battery is dead because i have a short somewhere and my brake lights dont turn off.. I didnt realize this or i would have unplugged it. Anyway, what new battery should I get / where. I have a 2000 mustang gt, my roomate could pick me up one from advanced autoparts in like an hour if I get a reply. I need one that fits the stock tie downs and everything --I heard Red Top Optima, can I get this at Advanced?

ya get the red top... you wont regret it. but you'll need a charger (do you have?)

i dont know if they have it at advanced.. i got mine from "sam's club"... it was $154 there.

they come with a couple different little chingaderas to make it "universal" but it was a little longer than my old one so i have to trim the side of craddle that holds it.

you know if you get a jump you can probably let ur alternator recharge ur existing battery as long as it isn't fried.

theres only 2 optimas that you can run. yellow or red top.... if you have some crazy a$$ sound system, or alot of electronics, or youre thinking of adding the 5th LCD screen in your trunk....you probably want the yellow top.. i copied this for you from the optima website

"The six-pack design generates its own buzz. But OPTIMA SpiralCell Technology is the real hero. OPTIMA RedTop batteries are built to withstand the abuse trucks, SUV's and 4x4's experience on and off-road while delivering a higher level of power to the starter in the critical first 10 seconds of the vehicle starting cycle. The RedTop features the lowest internal resistance of any battery on the market, which is the key to their unparalleled high power delivery, increased cycle life and fast recharge capability. "

now the yellow top

"Get more from your battery with an OPTIMA YellowTop. Even if your vehicle is made to take the abuse of off-roading or cranking out decibels, it’s the power under the hood that gets you going and keeps you going. The ability of an OPTIMA to provide a steady amount of current over a long period of time coupled with its extreme resistance to vibration provides performance vehicles with the long-lasting power they need in a spill-proof package.
