Default 4Valve Motor Pull, What should I expect to pay

I am pulling my motor this week, It started with just a ring job, But since I already have it pulled I thought why dont I take it to Machine shop, I am going to have Dished Pistons, H Beam Rods, Studded, new bearing, and a gerder put in as well as freshened up. What should I expect to Pay? Anyone have a clue? I am guessing 5k Parts and Labor as I am dropping motor off with all of the Tins Stripped! Anything else Since I am already their?

Thanks everyone
Aaron

Well you already said you're going forged pistons and rods, the crank can take it, you might wanna lower the compression a bit going with a different dish piston, and then go blower cams.

i am on the same boat as you, my cams are right around $1100 then $350ish for valvesprings.

http://www.cushmanmotorsports.com/in...66ae7330afaf60 those are some cams on sale as well.

Good luck with the build. Jim which i think is the owner of that site frequents MF quite often.

Yea I am dropping the Compression, I was just seeing if I can loose more money by someone talking me into doing more than what I am doing, My machine shop said he cant give me a price till I bring the block in and he sees what I need... Do you think I am in the range with 5k for all of this???

well parts for the bottom end you're probably looking at $2000, now i am not sure what labor cost would be as i do all my own work, but i'd imagine under $3000 for labor. I could be wrong, only that shop could tell you, but a set of blower cams would net you some really nice gains.

well I would love to do my own work but I work 60hours a week, When I get home from the office..... I want nothing to do in my shop and my weekends get spent hanging with the family. So I imagine that the cost of actually getting it done ... I couldnt put a price on that haha

look through the blower cams and see which ones suit you best. You see anything more than a stage 1 requires valvesprings and some other stuff, they say in the item description, also how often do/will you drive this car?
