Default tune up-running crappy

Hey guys,
I installed new wires and plugs yesterday, I got the ford racing 9mm blue wires, and the g-power spark plugs. At startup my car used to start nice and strong and give a nice growl....now in stuters a little. The car seemed to run a little better with the old plugs and wires, are these plugs any good or should I get something else? Is there anything Im missing that I should have done, I have the fuel filter just didnt get to put it on yet.
Thanks!

No the firing order is the same, I took wire by wire off so that wouldnt happen, and ive had a car that had a bad firing order and it was completely different, this just feels like its not all there. Are those plugs anygood? I alos have a A/F guage on it and before when it started it started nice and rich now it starts lean and stoich, maybe a fuel prob?

No I didnot re-gap them, I asked summit when I bought them and they said they should be in the range. On the side of the box it also says not to gap because of breaking the platinum. I had autolites in there should I go back to them or get some motor crafts?

id say its a plug wire thats not full on or a miss gapped plug. just a short drop while the plugs are still in the box will mess up the gap. when i bought my platnium plugs 3 of them were way under just remember to bend the metal fork and dont try to do it on the eletrode.

Ok ill take them out and re-gap them.....whats the best way to do this; pair of pliers? I have one of those autozone gap meaters from autozone that looks like a quarter...any good?
Anybody have any recomendations on the gap? factory is .052-.056

the quarter thing is what i used to get the gap but thats what will damage the eletrode if not used right, its only to see what the gap is at. the older plug gappers had a prong that you used to bend the fork to get the gap where you need it.
