Default 4:10 gears are in....

I got my 4:10 gears installed last night and all I got to say is they are great! I am very glad I didn't go with 3:73's. These gears are fine on the street or highway. I feel the car should come like this factory. Makes the car much more fun to drive!! Ok, go get your 4:10's boys you won't regret it!.[sm=happy046.gif]

They should at least be an option from the factory on new cars.....after all these are Mustangs.

Congrats. I think all Manuals should have at least 4.10s.

3.73s would be best for autos or manuals pushing tons of power on the track. Enjoy!

Thanks guys!!

I have a itch go back to the track now..LoL. I ran a 14.4 before the gears...do you guys think a 13.99 might be possible? I'd like to think so.. but I had a heck of a time getting out of the hole(2.3 60ft) with stock gears so the the 4:10 might be harder to hook? What do ya think?

I think you could break into the 13's. Your issue will be traction though....the 410's will help you out tremendously. Are you on street tires?

Yep still on street tires....and the lowering springs hurt my traction also. I was thinking with the 4:10's I can come out easy and then throttle it without bogging. Before I would bogg somewhat with stock gears. Know what I mean?

Yeah, it's going to be a guessing game to see where you can launch without toasted your tires! Just launch at a lower RPM to avoid all the spin and then hit it when you feel it start to hook.
