Default Other then IAC valve

What other things can cause a high idle other then the IAC valve. Its idleing about 1100 and its usually about 600. It seems to be different and different temps could it be the IAT sensor or MAF? I about to go plug the laptop in, but i have don't really know what to be looking for. Hopefully it will though a CEL. That was an odd thing to hope for.

I just check it. There was a P1507 code but it said See p1506. The MAF voltages looked right and so did the IAT. Maybe it is just a bad IAC valve. Anythought before i got spend money i don't have. (i have tried cleaning it.)

I think they used carb cleaner, but it's a $50 part why not buy a new one?

Mine failed at 94k miles. Car would not run at all. I went right to Auto Zone, dropped 50 bucks and replaced it in 5 minutes. Car now has 99k and the IAC is the only thing I ever had to repalce.

It still runs as good as when I first bought it.

College student and 50 bucks is hard to come by. My car still runs fine besides the idle all though i think cuz it stuck open its causing it to run lean.

....For now.

IAC cleaning is just a temporary fix for what is coming in your near future my friend. Hang onto that money for a new IAC soon.

Well yeah i don't drive my car alot so I'm hoping it will last long enough. I mean it was really really dirty so I won't be supprised if there was some damage done to it.
