didn't have a choice. if it were my cchoice for $10k i would have bought a bmw 3-series coupe or another mazda mx-6 (with money left over). i totalled our mx-6, and my little sister was getting her license in 6 mos, so for some reason beyond me my dad decided to buy us the stang (the only sport coupe for sale in town at a reasonable price, go figure).....i live in CT, so i can't really drive it in the winter. i just miss that jappy car feeling.

your car shold definently be fast than a MX-6 unless it was heavily modded

yea, it's about .4 seconds faster, but it's not FUN to drive......there's a difference between fast and fun

I live in CT, too.

I had a Probe GT (aka mx-6) before, too.

I like the 'stang a LOT more. True, the Probe handled a LOT better, but my 'stang is a LOT faster and a LOT more fun to drive. It's a much better "status symbol", too. heads turn when I drive by, and where I work literally everyone salivates over my car.

Of course, I have an '02, so it's a lot faster than yours..

(and I prefer the fake hood scoop body type..)

Driving w/ that fake hood scoop.. it's just so badass, it makes you feel like the king of the road

I'm gonna buy a new shifter soon, though; Like, I might buy it in the next 5 minutes.. an MGW (blue, because red looks like it won't fit in the leather boot..) probably. I don't know why I'm hesitating.. I guess because if I buy a shifter now it'll push back my full exhaust by a week, but I can't install that 'till the 4th of July anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

What part of Ct are you from, btw? (just give me the region, because I could be an axe murderer..)

Basically what your referring to is the fact that the car doesn't seem to handle as tight in turns because it has a higher COG and it feels stiff because it has to have tighter springs to make up for it. If you really don't like it theres not much you can do since you've already said that the speed is not the problem.. that's what stangs are for basically.. straight line speed... other than that they are justa normal car.
