1st Tune up any reccommendations....
I bought the car Aug of 07 and I probally put about 17,000 miles on it. Gonna get a tune up next month and was wondering what brand should I go with (spark plugs and wire's)? To get a good tuneup what all should I change? Any help, once again, would be appreciated.

How many miles on the car? Every 15k miles this is what needs to be done:
replace your air filter element, in your case it may need to be cleaned.
Inspect brakes and ball joints
Replace your cabin air filter
Adjust your clutch
Inspect or replace coolant pref w/ flush
Inspect your drive belt and drive shaft
Change Oil (every 3k)
Inspect Exhaust for leaks and rust
Replace trans fluid with a flush
Replace your fuel filter
Replace plugs every 100k and
Rotate your tires (if applicable)
there may be more, like wires, pcv, brakes, just depends when the last tune up was, how many miles on the car, and what was done at the last tune up. If you don't know, do like I did and do everything.

Here's the complete maintenance schedule from the 2003 shop manual...
The OEM plugs are rated for 100k miles, I replace mine just recently at 73k and there was a noticable improvement in power and fuel economy. Don't try to buy plug wires, there are none in the classic sense...

Hey man called the local Ford Dealer and they informed that my plugs and wires are good for about a 100k miles. They did inform me that I need to at a minimum change my fuel filter... Gonna do that and change the plugs. What brand (plugs) did you go with?

Don't wanna tell you exactly what brand to go with.. but I will offer some priceless information that might seem like common sense to some.
MAKE sure your engine is BONE *** ICE COLD...no evidence of a slight bit of heat... TOTALLY cold...
and 2..
invest in a torque wrench and a long single piece extension to get as accurate of a measure as possible
