Default N/A street mach 1?

well my buddy just bought a 4V mach 1 and wanted to start modifying as a street/strip car he pretty much wants it to be his DD. I know that with a bolt-ons and a good tune a mach 1 can break into the 300rwhp range and with cams, heads, and ported intake you can get close to making 340-350rwhp. What we where wondering is what to do with the bottom end since he plans to run it N/A and run some nitrous at the track. Should he just forge it and keep the stock compression of 10.1:1 or should he up the compression to something around the 11.0:1 mark? we do live in cali so keep in mind that 91 octane is the best we got. I know that a compression ratio of 11.0:1 is very doable with 91 octane since my previous car before i got my GT was a RSX typeS. But would that ratio be too high for a mach 1 for street use? or does it just depend on the tune? he is hoping to get anywhere from 350-400rwhp n throw a 75-100 shot nitrous for track use. sorry if its long and thanks in advance for the help.

im doing a very similar build and im going 11.1:1 or 11:1 compression but thats on 93 octane, i think you should be allright on 91, i honestly wouldn't waste the time tearing it apart if the milage is decently low, you're most likely not gonna break the limits of stock internals being a daily driver unless he sprays a big shot. If he is absolutely set on spraying a big shot then yes he should forge the motor and up the compression while hes in there, something around 10.5:1 should be safe for 91 octane but like i said it seems like a bit of a waste to forge it if it has low milage for a .5 bump in compression. Oh and he has a forged crank since its a manual that doesn't need replaced if you do spray/forge your internals.
Ok i just saw his goal of 350whp-400whp on a 100 shot, i say don't go into the motor you will be fine on stock internals, save your time and money.

thanks i will let him know, i think it has around 65,000 miles or so. But yea he wants the 350-400rwhp on all motor which by looking around I have noticed that a good amount of mach or 4V owners have hit the 330-350 mark on stock block so he should be good to go. The only reason i brought up the forged is because he wants to shoot up on top of his all motor goal and i figured it would be safer for him to forge the block because of him wanting a possible big shot. If you dont mind me asking what kind of piston will you be running to achieve your compression goal?
