If your throttle doesn't open all the way with the pedal to the floor, it just takes some slack out of the cable so that it will open all the way. I haven't even checked mine yet to see if I need to do it at all.

I would suggest checking to see if your throttle body is opening all the way before you do this mod. If it's not, and there's slack in the cable, you won't have any problem, but if you're maxing out the throttle body before the pedal hits the floor, something's gotta give, right? That's where the stories of broken throttle cables came in, from people putting too much spacer on the cable, so the throttle was all the way open, and they were still pushing down hard on the pedal, and SNAP!!!!!!

If you have a little common sense when you do it, there are no problems.

i left just a little bit of play in mine, i would say its about an 1 1/4 inches long maybe
