Got my 3:73s put in today..took a whole pay check. 160 for gears plus 250 for install..i went home broke haha.
Anyway the shop did an Excellent job. But I just wanna say..3.73s Suck ***. I truly wish i would of gone 4:10s. I listend to all the ppl i know in real life instead of listening to the ones on the forums lol and i regret it. I should def. of gone 4.10s no doubt at all. that being said, the car still feels GrEat!
anyway, at 75 i'm doing 2500 RPM.. does this sound about right?
Wheres the cheapest place to get an SCT tuner and is a custom tune worth it?

got my SCT tuner and tune form bamachips.com, I think if you do gears you should absolutely do a tune. I was very happy with my tune from them. sorry about the 3:73s though

yea, i'm buying a tuner for sure. i guess i'll wait till my next pay check and make some calls.
can't wait to drive the car tomorrow some more though

The 3.73's shouldn't feel like anything yet as you should be in the break in period. Wait until after your gear oil change at 500 miles and then you can finally get on it and have fun to judge the gear.

i got on on mine the 2nd day. and yea im glad i went 4.10 but if your getting a positive displacement blower in the future its ok.

I install my gears, drive em down the road to make sure they are quiet, then romp the **** out of them. I've done 100's of 8.8s and never seen a problem. You dont have to "break them in"... They are either set up right or not.

Its a night and day difference.. And the same goes for 3.73s to 4.10 swap, night and day.

I wouldnt go as far as sayin 3.73s were a bad choice, but 4.10s just rock
