While in there, he may consider an alum. flywheel, but there are a couple things to think about before running one:

ADVANTAGES:
1. Much lighter so it motor will rev-up faster.
2. Reduce the overall weight of the car by 20 LBS or so
3. Am told the cluch grabs VERY well on aluminum

DISADVANTAGES:
1. Since it is lighter, the car will loose some torque
2. Torque helps get the car going and may need to feather the clutch a bit more.

HTH

Jazzer... on the "just in case" scenario

If its a stock car the Spec stage 1 should be fine, but stage 2 should work too.

Spec stage three and a easy pressure clutch quadrant. Or any other brand stage two. The spec stage 3 is a trans killer. Or spend a little more and get the Spec Stage3+

don't waist your time with a stage one clutch.
