I put mine in front of the air filter, kinda in the hole where the headlight wires come out. That might be an okay location as long as it dosen't bounce around when drive. I had to try and mount 4 of those so I got a little creative.

Its stationary, double sided taped there, As long as its not too close to heat, Im fine with it. I was gonna put it near the filter, but there was no room, that was really my only option unless I put it behind the bumper, too much involved for that though...

I agree, I had to mount the ballasts for my fogs behind the bumper. Had to contort my arm and peel back the fender liner.

I have mine mounted on the fiberglass header panel right behind the grill and in front of the radiator. There where two studs in there from the factory that I just found nuts for an bolted my ballast brackets to. Can't even see them and they have been there for over a year and are still working just fine so the heat probably isn't an issue.
