Default Installed SLP LM1/X-Pipe...hangs too low

While I was home a few weeks ago from Iraq, I had my exhaust (LM1 and SLP X-Pipe) installed by the local exhaust shop. The guy who installed it told me when I picked my car up that the exhaust hangs about an inch and a halh lower than stock did, and after looking under the car and scaping over some larger speed bumps, I agree with him. Anone haveany suggestions? All I can think of is to have the exhaust shop cut and reweld the hangers to bring the system up a bit, which will have to wat until June when I am home again. Other than that small problem, The exhaust is great and sounds amazing with my K&N intake and Professional Products upper plenum and 70mm throttle body.

i would put the car up on a lift and loosen up everything and re adjust and twist and spin the piping till it sits up higher i took me a little while to get mine up tight
i have the lm'2 and they sit higher than the stock stuff

good luck

The SLP X is known to hang low. I'm not sure cutting the hangers would really make much of a difference and doing that would change the angle that it connect to the catback and manifolds.

x2, you won't be able to tuck it up much if any at all, I've had my friend reweld a few parts and it didn't move up too much.

just for reference sakes, thats about 1 1/2 off the ground.

slp x pipes blow. After scraping my cats on everything for like a year i switched to bassani which tucked 100x better and never scrapes except on horribly built speed bumps. MY slp cats were damn near flat when my x pipe was removed and they were still about an 1 3/4 in the ground. Dont waste your time or money, live with it or sell it and get a new x pipe or go catless.

My buddy put a jack where the X/Crossover in and jacked up the mid-pipe n tighted it that way. He said it helped.

Edit: I found this link for you for a guy that had the same problem as you and fixed it. Nice pics also.
