Roots vs. Centrifugal!?!?

Low boost apps in an entry level Sc the twin screw will shine.
If you take a small centrifuge SC like mine, and spin it to the moon. It will come on quick, and deliver through the rest of rpm range. Best of both worlds!
If you can only afford a small SC like me a first, but you want to take it far as possible, then go centrifuge. I would also like to recommend vortech for an entry level centrifuge SC. Ihmo no one beats them in this class when pushed to the limit.

Just to add my 2cents. i have an auto and a KB to go with it. Which is the reason i did not go with a centrifical blower. With a manual you have more direct control of what gear you are riding. Sure you can flip back in forth in the auto, but in my opinion you risk unnecassary abuse of the tranny. Since a centrifical is similar to a turbo, you can downshift and get it into the boost area whenever you want it. With the KB, my boost is available at around 2200rpm and because it comes in at the low end i don't have to wait for it to spool up, like the centrificals. And even though it is available in the low power band you don't have to use it. i very rarely go WOT because the power is always there to use when i need. I call just roll into the power without having to mash it when i want to take off. Just my 2 cents

I have never been out launched by a cobra or a KB gt. Even from a roll I pull out faster. At 3000rpms I am already making 6lbs of boost mixed with my 4.10s I can run faster then any twin screw around here.
I can run all the way up to 4000rpms and stay out of boost if I want. A centi is much better for a street. But a twin screw does sound cool.
