Transmission hissing while cold?
I thought i had an exhaust leak in my H pipe by the catalytic converters because it hissed while cold around there, its like intermittent hissing. louder when my foot is off the clutch, loudest when accellerating when its cold. The sound quiets down and goes away when the car is fully warmed up, but its really annoying and pretty loud hissing that gets ppls attention when its cold.
I took it to an exhaust shop and they checked for leaks with a mechanics stethoscope in my exhaust and the guy didnt find any and said he thought it was coming from the transmission?
He put the end of it(stethosope) in the hole in the bottom of the transmission and thought it was coming from there. What do you guys think it could be? my transmission works fine from what i could tell but what would cause it to hiss when cold?

my car's been hissing lately too. only does it when i shift the car to neutral to slow down or when i slow down while still in gear. doesn't do it when i accelerate. i'm thinking my throw out bearing might be going bad too so let me know how yours turns out
