Default clunking noise

When I engage a gear, there is this clunk noise and a thud in the shifter. If shift super slow, I can advoid this noise and feel, if it is a quicker shift, I cannot. By quicker, this is no means a speed shift as if I was racing, just relase the clutch quicker instead of slipping it in a slower shift.

Ideas?

hoping not. Just swapped the clutch, maybe the grabbiness of the new clutch?

If it is trans, what part? collars? actual gears er what?

it may be the clutch. does it happen when its rolling? or if you put it in gear does it make the noise, or only when the clutch becomes engaged?

gives it a thud in the shifter and makes a clunk noise that sounds from the TOB area?

just put er in gear and crawl underneath and check it out, grab the driveshaft and try twisting it, if you can hear an audible clunk from the u-joints, its probably the u-joint.
