I have a strut tower brace with my JLT intake. It does rub against the STB a little.

What type of strut tower brace? Also what type of plenum? Because any aftermarket plenum is going to sit about 1/2" higher than the stock one.

I was just wondering cuz on the JLT site it says if you have cobra the strut tower brace will not fit. It doesn't say anything about a gt not fitting

Here it is on the JLT Website for the years of the 96-04 GT its towards the bottom!

Includes everything you need to replace your small stock intake system. You get the huge 4” JLT pipe, all reducers, clamps, MAF adaptor, apron plate (covers hole in apron) and filter. JLT uses a large 6 inch S&B powerstack filter good to 500 RWHP. This is everything you need to install your kit. Also includes a smooth taper reducer from the JLT pipe to the throttle body. This will work with all stock and aftermarket throttle bodies up to 75mm.

**Please note, it has come to our attention that Ford has 4 different motor mounts putting the engine in 4 slightly different positions. This can cause this intake to be very tight to the oil fill cap on a small percentage of models and “may” require slight modification of the cap with a dermal or grinder to clear this JLT intake.**

If you have a 1996-2001 with an IAT sensor, you will need to drill a ¾” hole using a pnel or spade drill in the bottom side of the JLT pipe and use the supplied rubber grommet to install the sensor into the JLT pipe.

This product comes standard with gloss black paint. If you would like to upgrade, please click color option 1 and select the paint color you desire.

You can expect 8-12 RWHP with this kit.

WILL NOT FIT WITH STRUT TOWER BRACE

One day I will get one of those little devices that can be mounted onto the dash and give such a reading (cannot recall the name at the moment). I have heard they are quite accurate. I get a pretty fair amount of body roll, but boyyyyyyyyy it sticks but GOOD!

Jazzer

EDIT: I guess I type too slow, I will work on that. Ironically, my 295/30's on 10"s don't rub in the slightest, but the 275/35's on 9"s rub on fenders. That extra 1/4" or so is all it takes, I guess. I have my rack limited by one notch, but will investigate whether I can remove them. The torque arm does not rub, as the lowest point is just in front of rear tires. The exhaust couplers rub on EVERYTHING. I have about 2" tops clearance. The Oil pan is scratched up and the whole under side looks like pretty much hell . Fortunately, I have a steel reinforced Canton pan and all is good.
NICE. When i get another car to DD the vert suspension will be gutted and completely redone with griggs equipment. That stuff is $$ tho.. lol
